2 Ethylhexyl Salicylate is a benzoate ester, which has been derived from the salicylic acid. This is an oil soluble chemical sunscreen agent which is known to absorb the UVB energy. It cannot protect against UVA and is known to boost the UVB protection in the sunscreen. This is included with weak UVB absorbers and can be also utilized with other UV filters. 2 Ethylhexyl Salicylate boasts of a good safety profile and its salicylate portion can absorb the ultraviolet light to a good extent.
