Product Description
Octyl Salicylate is required to boost the UVB protection in the sunscreen. This is included with weak UVB absorbers and can be used in combination with other UV sunscreens. This is functional as an organic compound and can also be used as an ingredient in cosmetics and sunscreens to take in UVB (ultraviolet) rays coming from the sun. Octyl Salicylate is an ester made by the condensation of salicylic acid as well as 2-ethylhexanol. It is made to prevent premature aging, sunburn and leathery skin. This is known to reduce the risk of sunburn and skin cancer.
